Rancho Mirage

Rancho Mirage is an upscale desert city in the Coachella Valley, often called the “Playground of Presidents.” It’s known for its luxury resorts, world-class golf courses, fine dining, and serene residential communities.

Rancho Mirage is situated between Cathedral City and Palm Desert. The city has a population of approximately 18,301 and the median household income in Rancho Mirage is $109,943 and the cost of living is lower than the California average, but higher than the National average. The median age is approximately 65 and the homeownership rate is high at 82.1%.

Rancho Mirage is in the Palm Springs Unified School District and there is 1 elementary school and 1 high school.

Utilities available in Rancho Mirage include Southern California Edison for electricity, So Cal Gas, and Coachella Valley Water District.

Rancho Mirage’s shopping includes stores like REI, Home Depot, and Hobby Lobby. You’ll find grocery stores like Gelson’s, Clark’s Nutrition, and Albertson’s.

Rancho Mirage is home to “The River at Rancho Mirage,” a premier outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment complex that features an artificial water feature with fountains and waterfalls. The center includes a movie theater and ampitheater, as well as the Coachella Valley’s only Dave & Buster’s, Cheesecake Factory, Yard House, PF Changs, and more.

Rancho Mirage is also where you will find one of the first “Disney” inspired communities, Cotino. This community features a 38 acre lagoon and will soon have a public beach and resort hotel.

Things To Do:

Rancho Mirage is home to the Children’s Discovery Museum, a hands-on, interactive museum dedicated to sparking intellectual curiosity and self-expression in children through innovative exhibits and programs.

Rancho Mirage also has an observatory next door to their public library.
