Cathedral City is situated between Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage on the West end of the Coachella Valley. With a population of approximately 52,517, Cathedral City is the Coachella Valley’s second most populated city. The median household income in Cathedral City is $67,000 and the cost of living is lower than the California average, but higher than the National average. The median age is approximately 41 and the homeownership rate is 65%. The overall crime rate in Cathedral City is lower than the national average.

Cathedral City is in the Palm Springs Unified School District and there are 7 elementary schools, 4 middle schools, and 2 high schools.

Utilities available in Cathedral City include Southern California Edison for electricity. So Cal Gas, and Desert Water Agency.

Cathedral City is home to the most auto dealerships at the Cathedral City Auto Center with at least 10 major franchises near downtown. There is also an industrial center and Amazon facility in town.

Things To Do:

For entertainment, there is an Agua Caliente Casino, a Mary Pickford movie theater, Boomers amusement park with miniature golf, Palm Springs Lanes, which is one of only two bowling alley’s in the Coachella Valley and at least 6 major golf courses. The city is home to a Big League Dreams - a 30-acre facility with replica fields for softball and soccer offering stadium seating, batting cages, and food options. Cathedral City holds an annual Hot Air Balloon Festival every November.

Nearby grocery stores are Trader Joe’s, Stater Bros., Food 4 Less, and Cardenas, and more. There is a Target within the city and a Walmart nearby in Palm Springs.
